Alison Krauss was born July 23rd, 1971 in the city of Decatur, Illinois. Alison Krauss and LeAnn Kymes were the two youngest Grammy Award winners. Alison Maria Krauss (born July 23rd, 1971) is an American bluegrass and country musician as well as singer. Her career in music began in the early years, having won local competitions at 10, before recording her first album at 14. Signed to Rounder Records, her first album came out in 1987. In addition, she was invited to the band Alison Krauss Union Station where she still performs. Then, in 1989 her debut solo album was released with them.
